Client & Diagnosis

Client Profile: Client requesting a warm, natural-looking blonde with amber-gold tones. Often describes goal as beach blonde, summer blonde, or "like I had as a child." Typically aged 25–55. Skin tone: warm to neutral. Often a first-time blonde client.
Hair History: Natural Level 5–7. May be a first lightening service (single session on Level 6–7 hair) or a client maintaining an existing warm blonde.
Hair Diagnosis: Canvas at Level 8 with gold-orange to gold tone. The residual warmth works with the formula rather than needing to be neutralized. Cuticle state 1–2. Elasticity good.
Current Level: Level 8 (post-lightening canvas, gold-orange base tone)
Target Level: Level 8 Honey Blonde — warm amber-gold, rich and natural-looking

The Formula

Formula: 30g 8/43 (Copper-Gold Medium Blonde) + 10g 8/3 (Gold Medium Blonde) + 60ml developer
Mixing Ratio: 40g product : 60ml developer (1:1.5)
Developer: 3% / 10 Vol — minimal lift; slightly opens cuticle for better tone penetration
Timing: 20–25 minutes. Under plastic cap or in foils for deeper saturation. Open air for lighter result.
Expected Lift: Half a level maximum. This formula is primarily a tone deposit with very minor lift.

Intelligence Layer

Why It Works: The 8/43 (copper-gold) is the backbone — the /4 (copper) and /3 (gold) in combination produce the amber-honey quality. Copper alone reads orange; gold alone reads flat. Together at depth level 8, they create the warm, rich, dimensional honey tone. The additional 8/3 (pure gold) softens the copper without eliminating it, pushing the result toward honey rather than amber. [S2]
Common Mistakes: (1) Applying on Level 9+ canvas — copper-gold pigments insufficient to produce warmth; result reads washed-out. SOLUTION: For Level 9 clients wanting warm blonde, use BL-W-003 (Champagne Blonde). (2) Leaving under heat for maximum processing — this formula will darken significantly under heat. [S2]
Alternatives: BL-W-002 (Golden Blonde) for a cleaner, less amber warm result. BL-W-004 (Caramel Blonde) for a deeper, richer version. BL-W-005 (Butterscotch Blonde) for a creamier version.
Maintenance: Toner refresh every 6–8 weeks (warm tones are the most fade-resistant family). Home: gold-enhancing or warm-toned shampoo and conditioner. Minimal purple shampoo.
