- Client who wants a warm blonde that leans toward the lighter, more delicate end of the warm spectrum. Often describes goal as "champagne," "creamy blonde," or "like candlelight." Frequently the client who realized full cool blonde doesn't suit them.

- Canvas at Level 9. The champagne formula requires a lighter canvas than honey or golden — on Level 8, the result reads more golden than champagne.

- The champagne formula is built on a deliberate tension between the 10/1 (ash-cool at Level 10 depth) and the 9/3 (gold-warm at Level 9 depth). The ash component partially neutralizes the yellow-warm canvas without eliminating it, while the gold component preserves the warmth without allowing it to dominate. The /7 brunette modifier adds just enough depth to prevent the formula from reading thin or washed-out. [S2]
- Common Mistakes
- (1) Increasing the 10/1 component beyond 25g — this pushes the formula into the neutral or ash family and loses the champagne warmth quality. (2) Applying on Level 8 canvas — the gold component becomes too dominant. (3) Using 3% developer — at champagne's delicate color balance, slightly more aggressive developer creates uneven uptake.
