Client & Diagnosis
Client Profile
Client who specifically wants an ash blonde — not silver, not smoky, but the clean blue-cool classic. Often describes goal as "ash blonde," "cool blonde," or references the classic Nordic ash look. Aged 25–60.
Hair History
Canvas Level 8–9. Classic ash is the most forgiving cool blonde formula in terms of canvas range — clean ash result at Level 8 (deeper, richer ash) or Level 9 (lighter, cooler ash).
Hair Diagnosis
Canvas Level 8–9, tone gold to yellow-gold. If canvas is orange-gold at Level 8, the formula's ash content may be insufficient to neutralize fully — consider adding 3–5g 0/11.
Current Level
Level 8–9
Target Level
Level 8–9 Classic Ash Blonde — clean, blue-cool, directionally ash

Intelligence Layer
Why It Works
Classic ash is a simple, precise formula. The /1 base (9/1) delivers the ash direction with clarity and depth. The 0/11 intensifier amplifies the blue-ash without adding product mass. The 9/0 natural is the single most important structural component — without it, the ash reads grey and flat. The natural provides the light-reflection quality that makes ash look cool and luminous rather than drab. [S2]
Common Mistakes
(1) Increasing the 0/11 beyond 8g — the formula tips from ash to blue-grey. The intensifier is a precision tool, not a volume product. (2) Omitting the 9/0 natural — the result becomes visually flat and grey rather than ash-cool.
Alternatives
BL-C-001 (Smoky Ash) for more intensity and drama at Level 9. BL-A-003 (Steel Ash) for a deeper, more muted ash.
Maintenance
Refresh every 4–5 weeks. Home: blue-ash shampoo. Clients in hard-water areas should use a chelating treatment monthly.
AI & Case Layer
AI Decision Logic
IF canvas = Level 8–9 AND target = classic ash / clean cool blonde THEN route to BL-A-001. IF canvas = Level 8 AND target cool THEN BL-A-001 is preferable over BL-C-001 (which requires Level 9).
Similar Cases
BL-C-001 (Smoky Ash — more intensity), BL-N-004 (Mushroom — muted, complex)

This is a recommendation. Professional assessment and judgment are required before application. Canvas level, structural condition, and chemical history must be assessed physically at the chair.
